The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce that the deadline to submit applications to serve as the school system’s next superintendent has passed. The board received 44 applications from 17 states. The applications will be processed by the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) and released to the board in mid-September. The board looks forward to reviewing the applications and moving into the interview stage of the search process.
The board continues to seek direct input from the community regarding the qualities and characteristics desired in the next superintendent. Staff and community members are again invited to comment publicly on desired characteristics for the next leader of schools during a final scheduled public forum. The public forum will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 in the cafeteria at Northside Elementary School. All are welcome.
