Eight
students graduated from Phoenix Academy HS on June 8. The graduation
celebration was held at Carrboro HS in the auditorium at 5:30 p.m.
The graduates are: Asia Ashley, Amanda Bynum, Peter Dreher, Michael Gatewood, Kevin Griffith, Caleb Irving, Jassiel Salazar-Salcedo and Daquwan Sharp.
Speakers included the graduates and Phoenix Academy staff members Wilson Diaz, Maggie Fonge, Lorena Gatlin, Chris Johnson, Rachael Kares and Steve Messiter. Bellino Evans performed a musical selection. LaVerne Mattocks is the school's principal.
